kELOWNA, B.C. — A serious early-morning collision on the William R. Bennett Bridge caused significant traffic disruptions between Kelowna and West Kelowna on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
The crash happened shortly after 4 a.m. on Highway 97 near the west end of the bridge. Kelowna RCMP and West Kelowna RCMP responded after emergency medical crews were called to the scene. During the closure, police recommended that motorists heading toward West Kelowna consider Westside Road through Vernon as an alternate route.
